Clean up your house with Dr Max

Great cleaning

You keep putting it aside for days... Finally, a time comes that you just can’t put it off any longer. The thorough cleaning of your house. An unavoidable task that none likes. How to make this Great Cleaning easy and efficient?

For the beginning, take a look at every room and determine the works that need to be done in each place. Make up a plan of the cleaning. Improper sequence of some tasks may disorganize and consequently, prolong your work. Open the windows, if you can – you’ll not only let the fresh air in but also protect yourself from breathing up dust and fumes of chemical cleaners. Moreover, a fresh smelling house seems to be more clean and trim.

Before you start, make sure that you have all the necessary detergents and tools. If not, complete them before starting your work. Lack of necessary means won’t let you finish. Use only the proven, effective cleaners that will not prolong your task, for example Dr Max. Carry them with you in a basket or a bucket – you will move them with you all at once while going forward with your work. A working apron is also a good idea; you can keep cleaning tools in its pockets.

No doubt, cleaning is boring, but if you allow yourself loose concentration, it will last longer than you expect. Switch off your phone and television, so that nothing can disturb you. There’s no point to stop the work and go back to it over and over again. Put on some energizing music instead.

Do not go back. Try to evenly clean a particular room moving forward as your work progresses. Also try to clean everything top to bottom. It’s pointless to start cleaning the bottom parts of a room and then soil them during cleaning the top parts. For example, the water that goes down the wall will soil again a lower part of a wall that you have just cleaned.

Clean only what’s dirty. If you see some fingerprints on a clean windowpane, wash off the prints; don’t loose time for the whole pane. In one windowpane is dirty, don’t loose your time on washing all the panes. This also concerns walls, often dirty only by light switchers or cupboards dirty only by handles.

Use proper tools. If a cleaning mean that you use is insufficient for a particular task, pick up a stronger agent or a different tool. For example, instead of wiping various sticky grimes that adhere to shelves or countertops, use a scraper and just scrape them off – you’ll get rid of them with one move. An old toothbrush is an irreplaceable instrument. It will quickly remove dirt from all the difficult to reach furrows, hollows and corners.

Start cleaning a room with dusting and finish with vacuuming. Dust the top shelves first. They are usually less dirty than the lower ones and also dust that rise when cleaning them, will descend down. This is also the reason why you should do the vacuuming at the end – the most of dust will settle on the floor and you will clean it with a vacuum cleaner.

When cleaning the dishes, rinse them only once. Many people tend to clean something and rinse during work to see how much is left to clean. This is a waste of time. Also rinse a bathtub, sink or toilet bowl, when they are already clean.

Engage your family in the work. Teamwork will not only accelerate the cleaning but also will be a pretext to spend some time together. You don’t have to do everything yourself, do you? Try to control the joint efforts and make sure that everyone keeps in mind the above advices.

Good luck!
